(No) time to engage: an exploratory mixed-method study into factors predicting the engagement of postgraduate research students in Ireland

Abstract Worldwide, HEIs strive to provide the best possible training for their PGRs, next generation of researchers. PGRs engagement is crucial a successful completion training, however, research on experiences limited. Moreover, number international has increased steadily over last decade, which poses question whether have different levels compared local PGRs. Therefore, thus study aimed at filling this gap by investigating mechanisms that influence these groups students.
